Prosody Media is my freelance practice focused on writing, editing, and audio production.

Before this, I spent around 15 years in full-time roles across government contracting, AAA game studios, university tech departments, and enterprise SaaS teams. I’ve also been a lifelong musician, releasing my own music and working on recording, production, and engineering for other artists.

Hi, I’m Casey. I work across writing, audio, and editorial production, helping shape ideas into clear, intentional finished work.

I started my company so I could work independently and stay close to the kind of projects I enjoy doing. I prefer direct, casual communication and collaborative relationships that keep things moving and easy to navigate.

My work usually sits between creative and technical—writing, editing, and audio production—making decisions that help something land well for its audience. I try to think through problems from multiple angles before landing on a direction, and I stay hands-on through delivery.

Above all, I aim to make the process straightforward and the outcome solid for the work and the people behind it.

Background & Approach

My career began in technical writing and documentation, collaborating with engineers, product teams, and subject matter experts to make complex systems understandable and usable. I’ve authored developer documentation, SDK guides, UI copy, and instructional content across SaaS platforms and AAA game development projects.

That foundation shaped how I work today: organizing information clearly, anticipating audience needs, and translating complexity into something people can actually use.

Alongside writing, I’ve worked as a musician most of my life and gradually developed professional experience in audio recording, editing, and production. Over time, this expanded into podcast production, narrative audio, and interactive media.

That creative work reinforced the importance of voice, performance, and pacing, focusing on how delivery choices shape whether an idea feels clear, engaging, or effective.

Today, I combine editorial and audio work to create dialogue-driven audio, narrative projects, and sound design that prioritizes intention and audience experience. I work on everything from scripted voice-over to interactive sound design, shaping content so it feels cohesive from concept through final delivery.

I collaborate directly with clients and integrate into existing workflows or take full ownership of delivery depending on project needs. I’ve worked on everything from single documents and podcast episodes to large-scale content, SaaS documentation systems, and interactive media. I also take on a limited number of music projects when there’s a strong creative or artistic fit.
